From Farmer Bob:
We'll answer some of the comments of general interest, but please know that your comments mean very much to us!
Thank you for your contributions! - Farmer Bob.
I LOVE your chocolate milk and ice cream.
My son attends UNC and introduced me to your products.
Everytime he comes home, he brings me several gallons of the chocolate milk
and when I come up I buy the chocolate milk and ice cream-they are habit forming!!
Wish I could get it in my area, but until then, I will have to depend on my son and visits to UNC.

I love your milk. Period. I will not drink any other.
In fact, I am not sure I could ever move away from this area, knowing I could not get MVF milk.
Hopefully I will pass on before you go out of business or find something more profitable to do.
The fly in this ointment is that the two 24 hour Harris Teeter stores in Raleigh that sell it have stopped
letting me cash in my empties after I get off work at midnight.
Since I cannot do that (it turns out I must visit their Customer Service desk during day hours only for milk bottle returns)
it seems I am going to have to seek an alternative for your milk. Of course we all know that will be an impossible quest.
Your milk is very simply the absolute best milk available anywhere at any price.
Would that you could visit with the HT higher ups about this capricious policy of not letting the night shift customer service people at
the Durnat and the Cameron stores take in bottles.
Thanks for producing the ambrosia you simply call MILK.

I was thrilled when I found your local milk at Whole Foods!
I greatly appreciate your respect for your animals and efforts to allow them to roam freely as they should.
Thank you for all your hard work, please keep it up!

Do you allow customers to view the inside of your barns?
Also, how do you milk your cows?
Do they have to walk to their food at which time they will be milked?
Do you participate in practices such as tail docking and horn removal?
Is your farm certified humane?

From Farmer Bob:
Thanks so much for your interest in Maple View! I will be glad to answer your questions.
- The farm is not open to visitors for sanitation reasons.
- The cows are milked by machine.
- The cows walk to their food.
- No we do not use tail docking. We stop the horns before they ever emerge from the skin.
- We use humane practices, however we don't have a certificate proving that we are certified humane.
- Farmer Bob.
Hi: Do you sell un-homogenized milk and cream?
I've been trying to find such products for a while, so that I can make my own butter at home.
But all the dairy operations seem to automatically homogenize their milk.
Any information on where I can get non-homogenized (cream on top) milk and cream?
Thanks

I love your milk and am thrilled I can find it in Raleigh.
I understand your cows receive no synthetic hormones, but what about antibiotics?
Also, is your milk considered organic? Thanks!!

From Farmer Bob:
From time to time our cows get infections.
Depending on the degree of infection, we may use antobiotics; yet when we do, the milk from that cow is disposed of.
We don't claim our milk is "organic". We've had people look at our operation and tell us we operate an "organic" farm.
Other folks have told us that some practice or another makes us "non-organic".
We just try to produce good, safe milk; whatever that's called.
Thanks for your questions!
- Farmer Bob.
Thanks for your work, it's greatly appreciated

Will you ever have a stand at the Raleigh Farmers Market.
I've begun to buy most of my meat and produce there, and I'm now buying eggs, butter and some milk there.
Maybe you are the dairy that I'm buying from, but I don't recognize the name.

Great local business with delicious dairy products which are always fresh.
It also has great intentions by supporting local farmers and taking pride in treating their animals with care.
It's only problem is that locals seem to be the only ones who know about it.
More college students should be going here instead of its competitors which are large franchises such as Coldstone and TCBY.

We travelled all over North-Carolina from the coast to the mountains ...
and in the middle we discovered the charm of Maple View Farm hidden in the rolling hills near Chapel Hill.
The cows are great and their ice-cream DELICIOUS ! Thank you so much for the guided tour Bob !

My sister and niece live right down the road.

If a wish would come true; it would be for MVF to deliver milk and all your products to our door.
There are a few Harris Teeter stores in the Triangle area who sell your Milk.
We love the taste of the milk and the fact that there are not antibiotics.
We wish we were closer to the ice cream stores.
Absolutely, MVF milk products are truly from the "real" farm.
Thanks for bringing back the real taste of milk....milk itself.
Hope to visit your farm with our grandchildren some day.

We mooved to Durham in 2005 and discovered Maple View's ice cream store that summer.
We love the milk too and are glad to support a local business with such high quality products.

Drinking your delicious, local milk for the past four years has CURED my daughter of her FORMER allergies.
She will not go one day without having Maple View Milk. In fact, we love it so much that we just moved closer to your dairy.
So, now we get to buy our milk straight from the source at your country store, instead of at Teeter.
More people should realize that local milk and local honey help alleviate allergies.
With the lovely yellow pollen season just around the corner, I urge everyone to drink Maple View Milk to keep healthier.
Got allergies? Get Maple View milk!

Just a quick thumbs-up on the new bottles from a fan of your milk.
I've been drinking it for about 2 years and hope to try the ice cream next time I head west.

Hi Mr. and Mrs. Nutter,
I really enjoyed your website, I was amazed by the automation in your dairy process,
the conservation efforts and the love expressed to each of your herd by naming them not just numbering.
Keep up the great work!

I have always been a picky milk drinker and I have to say it was a pleasant surprise to find your milk at Harris Teeter last week.
I loved the traditional glass container and the milk seemed colder and fresher to me!
I will definitely be buying again. Thank you for producing such a fine product!

Specifically to Mr. Nutter.
I've got a running argument with Chester Lowder, my work colleague.
As a loyal (3 years) Maple View skim milk consumer, I do not believe my day starts out on a good note if I'm out of your milk.
To my taste buds, it's fresher.
Of course, Chester argues that with me saying it's the glass jar and that because glass keeps the milk colder it simply tastes fresher.
Mr. Nutter, can you arm me with retorts?
Thanks, Debbie Hamrick. (Chester works with the state's dairy industry and I cover specialty crops for Farm Bureau)

I love your products.
I'm trying to go green/elimiate plastic from my life.
So -is there any way of getting butter in a reusable container?
And ditto for your cream?
Would love to see you eliminate the plastic.
Thanks
